Overall Bay Area homes sales fell slightly compared to the sales in 2009, even though San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties registered higher sales. In San Francisco the number of houses sold increased with 6.5%, in San Mateo County with 25.20% and in Santa Clara County with 3.10%.
The median prices also grew higher with 10.20% in San Francisco representing $692,500, 11.50% in San Mateo County - representing $580,000 and 20.70% in Santa Clara County - representing the median price for a home paid to $489,000.
